When I first heard about…

When I first heard about…

Bottled water … I thought there is no way anybody would ever pay for water.

Text messages … I thought there was no way people wouldn’t just want to call each other on the the phone.

Email … I thought it was cumbersome and would never catch on.

The Internet … I thought it was some silly thing that made weird noises and took forever just to see some advertisements. (Remember all that AOL nonsense?)

Voicemail … I thought there is no way people will give up their answering machine.

Facebook … I thought it was the dumbest fad that nobody would ever care about.

CDs … I thought they were way worse than cassettes because they could be so easily scratched.
What “new thing” have you been writing off that just might be “Something” in a few years?

If it is “something” significant in a few years, how would it change your life and leadership model?

Don’t ignore every “that’s just nothing,” it might just be the next “Something.”
