The Official "Top 10" List of Books to Read in 2014 Part 3

This is week 2 of my 1st Annual “Top 10” Books List for reading in the New Year. Because every leader I know is busy, my desire is to do the “Screening” for you. Today we’re looking at my Top 3 books for the Personal Growth Category. These are must reads for every leader in any capacity.

1. Start by Jon Acuff

There are books that are great to read, and then there’s Start. This is a great book for everyone who is 30 years old or younger. Get it, read it, devour it, and laugh along with Jon. He’s a great writer who models with vulnerability what he writes. Top 10 for sure!

2. Linchpin by Seth Godin

This year I read this book for the 4th time. I love it. I think every 30 and under leader should be required to read this. I love the premise of “Don’t wait to be picked… pick yourself.” More young leaders need to hear that.

3. Unglued by Lysa TerKeurst

So this is the book that my wife has been giving so many ladies in her world all year. So I had to steal a copy and read it to see what all the fuss was about! OH MY GOODNESS! Such a great book. Ladies, buy this right now! Men, you too! Read it, then give it to your wife. or vice versa. Lysa is a brilliant writer and a necessary voice in the Body of Christ today.

On Thursday, we’re covering the last conglomerate of categories including Marriage, Prayer, Parenting and Soul Health. See ya then. In the meantime, download a couple of books from above and get reading.
