3 Books that are Impacting me Right Now
Happy Wednesday (Hump Dayyyyy!) Everybody! I thought I’d give you a bonus, Midweek post this week. Enjoy!
As most of you know, I’m an avid reader. At any time, I’m usually reading between 4 and 6 books and right now is no exception. I wanted to let you know of 3 books in particular that are impacting me and my leadership right now. I would highly recommend all three of them. They are…
1. Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn by John Maxwell.
John Maxwell has long been one of my mentors from a far so I read everything he writes. This book has been particularly timely for me in my leadership right now. With increased vulnerability that I appreciate, John opens up about some Leadership Mistakes he’s made and that insight has been very timely for me.
2. David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell.
I love Gladwell’s take on the Underdog! And no, I don’t think his work competes with my work in any way, shape or form. In typical Gladwell style, he is smart, studied and makes his point in a really big, broad way. The first chapter alone is worth the read for any leader.
3. Whatcha Gonna do with that Duck by Seth Godin.
I was given this book for Christmas am currently about 2/3 of the way through it! I love it! It’s a collection of like 600 of Seth’s blog posts from the last 6 or 7 years. I read 1 or 2 a day and there is never a day that I don’t underline sometime and have my perspective changed! It’s like getting to spend a year with Seth Godin! And my year has been amazing! I’m growing and learning so much from him.
? What books are impacting you right now? I’d love to hear from you.
Heaven knows, I’m always looking for a good book…
I am reading/ or recently read…
