Underdogs Alternates
In honor of the 1 month mark on the release of my book, God of the Underdogs, here’s a funny little take on some “Underdog” wordings that well, didn’t make the cut. Enjoy.
By the way, if you haven’t gotten the book yet, make sure you do, go here.
Under FOG – Not enough Fog to cause a School Delay growing up. Where I came from in Indiana, when there was a lot of fog on the ground, we got a 2 hour school delay. However, I always hated when there just wasn’t quite enough fog to constitute that. We call that “Under FOG”
Under FROG – The cute little animal that made the unfortunate choice of hopping under your time at just the wrong moment this morning while you were backing out of the driveway!
Under JOG – When you didn’t run as far as you thought you would in your workout this morning.
Under CLOG – The really bad River Dancer in the back row of the chorus that nobody has the courage to tell is a half a beat behind and slightly overweight. (Don’t laugh, it happened on a cruise we were on once. Poor guy was just a bit behind all week…)
Under NOG – The cheaper eggnog sold around the holidays. You know, the one your cheap aunt Lois always bought and tried to pass off as the real thing. Never worked.
Under LOG – The bottom piece of wood in the campfire that you can’t quite reach with the poker.
Under BLOG – When your online presence is under-performing.
Under CLOG – (I know I already did this one, but I thought of another one.) The plugged drain in the bottom, hard to reach cabinet in the basement so there you are laying on the cold cement floor trying to figure out how to reach it but you can’t because its cold and dark and damp and you don’t really care about this stupid sink down here by the washing machine anyway, and all you really want to do is go upstairs and watch football, but she’s got you down here cleaning this dumb thing out, or at least trying to. Go ahead, call the plumber. It’s just gonna be better for all of us.
Under SOG – When you’ve had enough of the rainy weather during rainy season in Florida. Seriously how much is enough Lord?
Feel free to leave a comment and add on to this list.
Have a great week…
Under Bog – 1) When you slip and fall into the swamp and the bog covers you over. Not good, not god at all. 2) Derivation – Under bogged – when you are close to being bogged down in a project but not quite there. You are still moving but very slowly.
