The Official "Top 10" List of Books to Read in 2014 Part 2
On Monday, I began my annual “Top 10” (actually 16) books to 7 categories. If you missed Monday’s post, go here.
As for today, I’m giving you my Top 3 books to read in the Organizational Growth Category. As always, the books are links to Amazon to purchase the eBook or print edition immediately. I believe these 3 books can take your organization to a whole new level this year. Enjoy.
1. Read this before our Next Meeting by Al Pittampalli
Holy cow! This book rocked my face off and it only took about 47 minutes to do it! if you lead a team of any kind, read this book, then let’s talk. I don’t think I fully understand how he’s saying it can all work, but honestly, his concepts are out there and I think could revolutionize everything, if a leader was disciplined enough to do what he says.
2. A Sense of Urgency by John P. Kotter
Okay, so I reread this one this year and it was brilliant all over again! John’s principles on the 8 stages of leading organizational change impacted me nearly a decade ago. Then this book came out focusing on just #1 and it was like, “Whaaaatttt!” Brilliant. Definitely a Top 10!!!
3. The Customer Rules by Lee Corkerell
Okay, so I am a bit of a customer service junky and this book is amazing!!! If you own, work at, or shop at a business that interacts with people at all, then you have to read this book. If the whole world could read this book, we’d all have much better service EVERYWHERE! Please read this book, Leaders!!! This had to make my Top 10.
On Monday, we’re headed for the Personal Growth Category. Get ready.
