Thankful for Rick Warren writing the Foreword for the Underdogs Book

Last year, in preparation for the release of my book God of the Underdogs, I began praying about who the best possible person could be to write a foreword for the book. Who’s story was an Underdog Story? And of course, so many names hit the list, but one name in particular kept coming back to my mind… Rick Warren.
So, in December I sent off an email to one of Rick’s associates asking if Rick would consider it. I knew it was a long shot, but hey, its a book about Underdogs right?!?
I sent a few other emails that way after the holidays, but honestly, by February, I had all but given up on it.
In fact, 2 weeks ago, I actually said out loud (to myself…) “Oh well, its no big deal. It was an Underdog Long-shot anyway!”
Then…
On the third Monday in April, I received a call from Pastor Rick himself! After a few minutes of encouraging conversation about how we can help pastors and continue to encourage the Body of Christ, he transitioned the conversation to the Foreword of the book…
He said Yes!
I am so honored that Rick Warren wrote the foreword for the God of the Underdogs book!
Rick was named Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2009.
Not only is God using Rick as a voice on the global stage, more amazingly, Rick has never lost his heart for the local church and specifically, the Underdogs!!!
The one message Rick wanted me to make sure I communicated to the pastors I work with was, “Tell them I love them, I believe in them and I am behind them.”
He is the real deal and I am beyond honored to have his endorsement on the message of this book.
