Proverb Wednesday – #5

Proverbs 21:11 “When a mocker is punished the simple gain wisdom; when a wise man is instructed, he gets knowledge.”

How do we learn? From punishment or consequences? Or from instruction? The better way to learn is to listen and watch those around us that we might gain a heart of wisdom. Otherwise, we’re left to learn the other way… through punishment and correction.

I’m asking God to keep giving me the ability to see and hear instruction at every turn. I’d just rather learn that way then the other.
