Post-Easter Encouragement
Alright, pastors and leaders,
For alot of us yesterday was like the Super Bowl of Church, Easter Sunday! So you’re probably feeling like I am right about now. Tired & Exhilarated. Exhausted & Pumped. Amp’d Up & Let Down. And the list could go on and on.
So, what do we do on a Monday like this.
Let me give all of us 1 simple piece of advice:
Go Encourage a Bunch of People Today!
You’ll be amazed at what it does for you… and for them.
Here are 5 categories of people I want you to encourage today:
1. Another Pastor.
Text them, email them, leave them a voicemail, whatever, method you choose. Just let them know that you were thinking about them and love them and would love to hear a story of life-change from the weekend.
2. The People on your Team.
If you’re feeling it, guess what you’re team is feeling right about now? Reach out today and let them know it.
3. Key Volunteers who work a full-time job and serve hard at your church.
At least most of us get to take it slow today, they had to be up and out the door at the same old time. Thank them for all they did to make this weekend happen!
4. Your spouse.
Love them in their Love Language without asking for anything in return.
5. Yourself.
The Bible says David encouraged himself in the Lord. What do you have to do to do that today? Go do it. Do something that refreshes you, makes you feel strong, encourages you, or pats you on the back.
Don’t feel bad about it. In fact, tweet about it. Tell all of us what you did. Show us the size of the Starbucks drink you bought yourself. Show us the picture of you getting the car washed. Show us the sunset at the beach. Whatever you do, don’t let today go by without encouraging yourself.
Because lives were changed this weekend, God is really happy with you!
