The 1st National Bank of iTunes
Part of the brilliance of what apple has done is they have not only created a one stop shop for books, music and apps for your devices, but they have also become the bank for customers who purchase things on all of those apps as well.
This hit me recently when I downloaded the Touchnote app. It’s an app that allows you to send a picture on your phone as a real postcard to someone’s physical address. It’s brilliant. You customize the message, enter their address and they do the rest.
You don’t buy postage, or deal with the post office (ugh) etc. All you do is find a picture, enter your message and the person’s address and within a couple of days a post card shows up at their house.
All for the low price of $1.49.
Now, let me tell you how the whole thing would break down…
If I had to enter my credit card number or bank account so you could debit me.
The linchpin of the whole deal is that the financial piece is already done for me because I have an iTunes account.
The system works because of one key component that is essential to the process!
So here’s the big takeaway for you and me:
? What 1 essential piece, if inserted into your product, idea, system, or process could change the whole thing?
I am willing to bet there is a world-changing something that exists in your world, it’s just missing 1 thing so you or your team have completely written it off.
Go find out what it is. We need your idea.
