25 Ways to Re-Engage Insiders
I recently got an email after one of my talks I did on Buzz. (Listen Here) in my talk I challenge teams to go home and brainstorm 25 ways re-engage those who have previously experienced or tried your product, service or have attended your church.
The email stated that their team was having trouble coming up with 25…
So, here you go, here are 25, but now your homework is to findĀ the next 25. Because you can…
1. Write them a personal Handwritten note.
2. Email them 8 tips on how to save money on their vacation this year.
3. Send a postcard in the mail.
4. DM them on twitter.
5. Write on their Facebook wall.
6. Send them an article you found on parenting, or keeping their lawn green, or something they care about.
7. Send them a bag of microwave popcorn and tell them to have a family movie night on you!
8. Mail them a beach ball ( you can ship anything) and encourage them to go to the beach with their family this summer.
9. Send them a pack of lifesavers. Who doesn’t love candy?!?
10. @them on twitter with a joke.
11. Send their kids a birthday card on their kid’s birthday next year. You did collect that info when they checked in right?
12. Send them a Health food bar on New Years inviting them to your healthy life series.
13. Record a life-giving video and send them a Starbucks Via packet In a card with a link to the video saying “have a cup of coffee and enjoy this video on making your marriage strong this year…” Or whatever.
14. Hand out hot coffee and donates at the entrance to the neighborhood where they live whole everyone is leaving for work on a cold Friday morning.
15. Email them a link to a book that’s changed your life.
16. Send them a coupon for free ice cream at a local ice cream shop that gives you a deal.
17. Send them a link to a free worship song on iTunes. (I’m sure it can be done…)
18. Send them a pack of post-it notes with fun quotes on them.
19. Send a mini pack of diapers to families with babies.
20. Mail them a Slinkie.
21. Send them a dollar bill in the mail inviting them to a financial series.
22. Invite them to vote on a contest on your Facebook page.
23. Pray for them in staff meeting.
24. Don’t call them on the phone.
25. Invite them to Christmas service on a postcard that has “7 Conversation Starters for Awkward family Gatherings.”
The goal is to get people to say, “Are you kidding me? Who does that?”
Answer: “We do.”
The less you talk about yourself and self-promote the better.
Here’s the point: The world has changed. The brands that capture attention and build loyalty are the ones who Add Value like crazy!!!
Btw, that took me 20 minutes, by myself, while walking on a treadmill. Imagine what you and your team can do with an hour in a group setting!?!
